A Splash of Color

The Saturday before Easter has traditionally been our family's day to color eggs. Despite our best parental efforts to maintain order and cleanliness, it often turns out a bit messy. The boys often lack patience to keep the eggs in the color for very long, and before the dye has a chance to dry, they are eager to eat the eggs. It's amazing how something that stinks up my kitchen could be so appetizing!

Carefully placing the eggs in their color bath:
Making sure they are submerged:
Just moments before Garrett pulled the pink cup over:
Drying on the racks:
Watching from a more manageable distance:

Those egg pictures are really pretty! You can tell your little guy is plotting to grab one of those cups any minute!

Your eggs turned out so vibrant! What kind of dye did you use! It always seems that there aren't enough eggs to color. Harrison was so disappointed when we we done!

Those are beautiful eggs. What did you do with all of them, I'm curious?

So bright and beautiful! very refreshing compared to the usual pastels... I always prefer bolder colors to pastels. Nice work!
